Subject: Nominations for Intel Research Impact Medal
The Intel Research Impact Medal acknowledges researchers whose work
benefits Intel and the broader industrial and academic community. It
is open to fulltime faculty from universities and research institutes
worldwide. Candidates must be nominated by an Intel employee,
preferably one with firsthand knowledge of the candidate's
work. Eligible candidates are encouraged to contact their Intel
collaborators about submitting nominations.
The Intel Research Impact Medal is a direct monetary award (10,000 USD
or equivalent in local currency). Nominations are due August 12,
2011. Eligible nominees will be notified soon after, at which point an
up-to-date curriculum vitae will be requested. Nominations will be
reviewed by a panel of senior Intel technologists. Award selection is
based on demonstrated impact of the candidate's research within Intel,
its benefit to Intel customers and end- users, and its influence
within the broader academic community. Awards will be announced in
September 2011.
