POSITION ANNOUNCEMENTS
COMPUTATIONAL STATISTICIAN, COMPUTATIONAL MATHEMATICIAN
The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) is seeking two additional Members of Techn-
ical Staff to:
interact with scientists and engineers using the NAG Fortran Library and/or
statistical packages such as GLIM and GENSTAT to solve mathematical and
statistical problems; and
participate in software R&D projects, including implementation of numerical
software on state-of-the-art workstations and vector/parallel computers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree or equivalent (e.g., Bachelors degree and experience including
knowledge of Fortran) in numerical analysis, statistics, mathematics, computer
science, science, engineering, or economics
Computational Statistician: a knowledge of the algorithms in statistical pack-
ages, ideally including GLIM and GENSTAT, and their use in science and engineer-
ing
Computational Mathematician: a knowledge of a broad class of numerical algo-
rithms and their use in selected areas of science and engineering
